Lock your bike PROPERLY!

Few days ago I've noticed two bikes locked in front of the shop side by side. One of them in proper way and the other completely wrong. I thought I'll share with you few tips on how to lock your bike, because it's not that obvious for everybody.

First, the bike that could be stolen in 5 seconds:

Good lock won't help if used the wrong way. As you can see it locks only the front wheel that is of a quick release type. All you need to do to take the bike is open the quick release lever and walk away leaving the owner with his good lock and a front wheel.

Picture below presents one of the best ways to lock your bike. D-lock is used to secure frame and rear wheel of the bike to the rack and second lock secures front wheel and frame as well.

Two locks it's not an overkill, especially if your wheels are quick release. Bike theft is a big problem in our area, so don't make it too easy to steal your bike!
