Mavic Ksyrium SL
• Less inertia: ISM.
• Optimized energy transfer: Isopulse lacing and asymmetrical rims.
• Light and stiff rims: ISM.
• Extra-light components: FTS-L freewheel, Zicral spokes, Carbon front hub.
• Rim resistance: Maxtal, SUP Fore drilling.
• High quality adjustable cartridge bearings: QRM+
• Front 645g and rear 840g (1485g Pair).
Special Features:
• FTS-L: Force Transfer System Light. The reinforcement of the key transmission components: Lighter hub, stronger hub, better torque transmission.
• FORE Only one of the two rim wall is “drilled”. The rim is four times more resistant to fatigue stress. 20% increase in the rim rigidity to transfer all of your energy to the ground.
• ISM Inter Spoke Milling. Lighter rim and equal rigidity is the magic equation to reduce inertia and to free extra power for climbing. A Mavic patented exclusive concept.
• ISOPULSE The spoke lacing design and wheel building bring better wheel stability and a crystal clear transmission of energy thanks to a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.
• MAXTAL Exclusive to Mavic. An aluminium alloy that is 30% more resistant than a 6106 alloy, for lighter and stronger rims.
• QRM+: Qualité de Roulements Mavic+. Our most demanding level. Those cartridge bearings are made of course double sealed with C3 internal clearance, and topped with a micro-adjustability system, allowing you to quickly adjust your wheels according to performance goals: precision “free” adjustment for maximum fluidity, or perfect high precision setting for all weather rides.
• SUP Soudé Usiné Process. A welded rim is more robust, doesn’t shudder when braking and gives the wheel greater stability.
• UB Control: Usiné Brut. The braking surfaces are micro-milled to improve braking friction and eliminate shuddering.
• Zicral Ultra light weight and highly resistant spokes. A Zicral spoke has 10% more static resistance than a stainless steel spoke of the same weight.
RRP £710 (Shimano compatible set in stock, Campagnolo version available to order)

Cyclocross is the new singlespeed?
Lock your bike PROPERLY!
Few days ago I've noticed two bikes locked in front of the shop side by side. One of them in proper way and the other completely wrong. I thought I'll share with you few tips on how to lock your bike, because it's not that obvious for everybody.
First, the bike that could be stolen in 5 seconds:
Good lock won't help if used the wrong way. As you can see it locks only the front wheel that is of a quick release type. All you need to do to take the bike is open the quick release lever and walk away leaving the owner with his good lock and a front wheel.
Picture below presents one of the best ways to lock your bike. D-lock is used to secure frame and rear wheel of the bike to the rack and second lock secures front wheel and frame as well.
Two locks it's not an overkill, especially if your wheels are quick release. Bike theft is a big problem in our area, so don't make it too easy to steal your bike!
